Inkwell formed from a spice box in the shape of a porcelain ship with a gilt bronze frame. The boat with a lion's head prow in Meissen porcelain painted with insects, made in the workshop of Johann Friedrich Eberlein and Johann Gottlieb Ehder around 1740. Gilt bronze mounting with a small side drawer in the base. Middle of the 18th century. H. 39 cm - L. 19 cm - W. 15 cm JB-HL The registers of the Meissen factory mention this model by Eberlein in 1739 and by Edher in 1743.
