Category C weapons: purchasers MUST present their identity card, valid French hunting license (2022-2023) or valid French shooting license only, and proof of address. Category C weapons will only be issued after consultation of the FINIADA file. Holders of a hunting license must have created their SIA account. Registration of the buyer of a category C firearm in the FINIADA file will automatically invalidate the sale. Foreign buyers who do not have these documents must be represented by a French arms dealer.

In addition to a valid identity document, the purchaser of a category B firearm must present a copy of both sides of a valid shooting license (2022-2023) stamped by the doctor, and the original of both sides of the prefectoral category B authorization. In all cases, if the billing address is different from that shown on the identity document sent, proof of address less than 1 month old must be enclosed. The firearm will only be issued once the FINIADA file has been consulted by a gunsmith. If the buyer is registered in this file, the sale will automatically be null and void.

Category B, C and D firearms are sold as is. We recommend that they be serviced by an approved professional before use. Collector guns are no longer intended for shooting, so we strongly advise against any use other than by a professional, and outside shooting ranges.
