Fireplace mantelpiece made from 18th-century crewel embroidery pieces, cream-colored cotton canvas embroidered with multicolored wool using chain stitch to create floral arabesques in vibrant colors. Assembled at a later date (signs of wear on the embroidery), 194 x 54 cm. We are including a cream-colored "gros de Tours" tablecloth embroidered with silk and gold thread.
