Rennet pot known as a “tusset det coou” - Lot 598
Rennet pot known as a “tusset det coou” Made of weathered, carved wood. The body is carved from a single piece of wood, with a narrower section at the top and beveled sides. It features a handle with a small ring through which a thin cord can be threaded to hang the pestle. A beechwood lid completes the set. Ariège, late 19th century H. 30 cm The pestle is missing, as is a peg, and there are some pinholes. The lid was likely replaced, and the bottom shows signs of woodworm damage.
