[Manuscrit du XVI°].LIVRE D'HEURES OU DEVOTION AYANT APPARTENU A S. GERMAINE LHUILLIER. In-16 (120 x 75 mm) of [1]-143-31bl.-38-51-42bl. leaves, cursive ink writing, ruled copy, painted and gilt initials, gilt letters on important words or in capitals, blond calf, gilt framing on the boards with a gilt renaissance iron and the inscriptions S. GERMAINE on the first and LHUILLIER on the second, spine entirely rebound, one cover detached. It opens with a miniature on painted and gilded vellum corresponding to a handwritten statement from the period: "En ce livre lieu qu'il soit mis une image comment Notre Seigneur monta sur l'ânesse le dimanche des palmes (Rameaux) et qu'elle soit sur parchemin. This manuscript may have belonged to Germaine L'Huillier (cited in the Rothschild catalog, Tome I, no. 733, p. 503), wife of Jean Viole, a member of the Paris parliament in the first half of the 16th century.
