**CHINA, Republic of China (1912-1949), Years 1920 - 1930, Cylindrical ivory opium pipe with incised decoration of eight ladies (immortals?) in a garden, among cranes, four of them playing music (one pipa, one flute, one qin and one sheng - mouth organ) and one dancing, a lotus frieze at one end, with an oxidized copper alloy mounting including a mouthpiece, three rings and the stove with embossed decoration of dragons and bats.
