DELFT Earthenware plate, decorated in blue monochrome with an inscription "Paúvres Actions" (sic). Early 18th century. D. 21 cm (at sight). Cracking. In a black stained wood frame. Again, a mischievous allusion to the stock market crash of 1720 following the "South Sea Company" scandal.
