[LAHALLE - REGNAULT-WARIN - ROQUEFORT]. CHRONIQUE INDISCRETE DU DIX-NEUVIEME SIECLE. Esquisses contemporaines extraites de la correspondance du prince de ***. Paris, Chez les marchands de nouveautés, 1825. In-8, [4]-6-416 pages, contemporary boards. FIRST EDITION. This work was composed in an original way. The authors met every evening at the Café Procope to play dominoes. The loser was required to write down an anecdote, a souvenir or a portrait, which was placed in a box kept at the counter. Tear to a page with loss of a few letters, a poorly bound notebook. (Supercheries III, 248) (Gay I, 580). Provenance: Bibliothèque du Vicomte de Poli (ex-libris).
