[CHODERLOS DE LACLOS (P.A.)]. LES LIAISONS DANGEREUSES or le - Lot 24
[CHODERLOS DE LACLOS (P.A.)]. LES LIAISONS DANGEREUSES or letters collected in a society and published for the instruction of some others. Genève, sans nom, 1782. 4 volumes in-16 of [2]-234 ; [2]-225 ; [2]-216 ; [2]-244 pages, paperback (19th century hardback). One of several editions with the same date as the original. Written entirely in the form of letters, this book caused such a scandal on its publication that its author was blacklisted and excluded from the salons of the capital. It was a runaway success, with no fewer than 16 printings under the same date, and was even condemned by the courts in the following century. Average condition. [4]
