Jacques de Chièze appears to be a local cartographer from Orange, active around 1627, whose fame rests on a single major work: a detailed map of the Orange-Comtat Venaissin territory, published in Amsterdam by Janssonius. Today, this map is a sought-after document, as much for its historical interest as for its rarity.
