FRANCE, early 20th century Pierrugues Brigadier General's bicorne. In taupe felt, ostrich feathers on top, canetille ganse surmounted by a cocarde in fabric and canetille, surmounted by a button with the generals' motif, canetille frieze of oak and acorns, silk (fresh butter) and leather cap, marked "E. Bidal". In its box sheathed in grained leather and lined with velvet, marked "E. Bidal, 3 rue de Richelieu, Paris".
