FRANCE, early 20th century Outfit for a lieutenant of the 9th Regiment of Mounted Chasseurs. Light blue cloth tunic, red collar, with silver canetilla collar tab, braid crossed by a sleeve facing, silver metal bell buttons, partially topstitched blue lining. Also included are privately made pants in madder-colored cloth with two blue stripes, and two gaiters of the same construction. Heavy wear to lining, accidents, abrasions and moth holes.
