Chinese carpet (cotton warp and weft, wool pile), probably knotted in the Beijing region, northeast China, circa 1950-1970 H. 138 cm - L. 202 cm The carpet features a central polychrome rosette on an ivory background, enhanced by four bunches of lotus flowers and two peacocks. The whole composition is embellished with four spandrels. A wide navy blue border decorated with floral cartouches and small flowers encircles the composition. H. 138 cm - L. 202 cm
