shimmering polychrome silk lampas, cream wavy thread and laughing thread on a raspberry satin ground, decorated with large poppy bouquets on a diamond pattern of trompe l'oeil lace ruffles. Orphreys in brocatelle, the chaperon with silver guipure nursing pelican. Buckram lining, gold system braid (old reassembly, some wear). RMH
