Rare complete reversible liturgical ornament in cream moiré - Lot 235
Rare complete reversible liturgical ornament in cream moiré gros de Tours and Persian brocade, circa 1860-1880, brocade façonné filé or and coral, cream and green silk with small floral motifs, the orphreys and edges outlined with a yellow silk braid decorated with floral uprights. Coordinating stole, manipule, purse and pall edged with the same braid; the chalice veil with Maltese Cross enriched with a fine matching crest. The reverse in cream moiré gros de Tours edged with the same braid, (minor accidents only on the white side). RMH
