PENDULE VASE in matte and polished gilt bronze with two swan-neck handles. Enamel dial signed Lepaute "hr de l'Emp Place du Palais Royal à Paris". Bréguet" hands. Wire suspension. Empire period (small shock to the enamel, one needle deformed). H. 33 cm JB-HL Jean-Joseph Lepaute, 1770-1846, member of one of the most important dynasties of Parisian clockmakers and astronomers of the late 18th and early 19th centuries.
