One-prong hollow brass mounting, watermarked leather spindle, strong ball quillon stamped with "DUC", cruising auricle engraved with anchor without cable.
Curved, flat-backed blade engraved on each side with "GARDE IMPERIALE" in a cartouche with rope, anchor and palmettes, oxidation, leather-wrapped wooden scabbard (rear seam missing) with three brass fittings and two rings on piton, lyre-shaped brass sting, slight dents.
