Album of large embroidered and flocked samples for evening dresses, Lyon region, circa 1920-1930, samples of cream and black tulle and gauze decorated with highly stylized flowers, abstract and geometric motifs, embroidered in Cornély artificial silk and glass beads and flocked with multicolored wool and sequins, gold and silver. Approx. 84 glued samples, (about a third damaged), 15 x 27 cm to 65 x 39 cm. A rare and fragile example of an economical process for spectacular but probably short-lived evening gowns, of which few examples have come down to us.
