Chasuble and purse, circa 1840-1850, crimson silk-fashioned pekin, with gilded braid around the edges and orphreys. The center of the cross is embroidered in guipure with the Sacred Heart and Immaculate Heart of the Virgin Mary surrounded by crowns of thorns in silver cannetille, (a discreet crack in the front, missing a few sequins). Attached: a second chasuble in poor condition with the same cross center, showing only minor wear.
