Napoléon III and Eugénie Impératrice, pair of portraits woven for the 1867 Exposition Universelle, Manufacture, Burlaton & Cie, Lyon,
shaped, looped and cut silk velvet, blue satin ground. The sovereigns are shown in profile in a Moorish medallion with arabesque decoration, (slight wear on one of the medallions, accidents on the backgrounds), 62 x 52 cm.
