Brocade, Turkey (?), 19th century, lampas gros de Tours straw-yellow background edged and brocaded in raspberry silk, silver and gilded laughing thread. Flowering branches and crescents inscribed in reserve on a diamond-shaped network of foliage. Gold system braid with pampers and ears of corn outlining the perimeter, (a few minor accidents, reassembly, lining and braid attached), 212 x 131 cm.
