Paris, Cailleau, 1772-1778. 2 volumes in-12 of [2]-16-150-[2] and [6]-27-[1]-234-[2] pages, red morocco, triple gilt fillets on covers, gilt arms in center, smooth spine decorated, gilt edges (period binding) Very rare first edition, with a frontispiece by Chevalier engraved by Le Gouaz and a fold-out plate for the first volume, and second edition (1778) for the second, with the same frontispiece and 4 fold-out plates. Despite some restoration to the hinges, a fine copy in morocco with the ARMS OF ALEXANDRE DE MARBEUF, bishop and statesman (O.H.R., 1462 with variant).
