Large folio, marbled calf, fleur-de-lys border on covers, crowned LL monogram at corners, gilded coat of arms in center, spine decorated with small irons with LL monogram, gilded edges (period binding).
This handsome book of festivities opens with a title-frontispiece, followed by a poem "La France à la religion", and the "Avertissement".

Each is accompanied by a description and an allegorical figure or emblem corresponding to a moment in the coronation. This is followed by 30 plates of costumes worn by the King and his retinue, a double sheet for the table and a plate listing the names of the painters and engravers who contributed to the album.
Binding rubbed, hinges restored, some light foxing, inside fresh.
