White enamel dial, Roman numerals for the hours in black, Arabic numerals for the minutes in red, openworked gilded brass hands; brass movement with bridges and half-plate, straight-line anchor escapement, compensated balance wheel, cover engraved 'V Là P de P27 mai 1880'; plain gold case. Founded in 1865 in La Chaux-de-Fonds by Jean-Baptiste Gondy under the name Alliance Horlogère, the business was taken over by Claudius Gondy, his son, and moved to Besançon in 1885 in the Vieilles Perrières district.
