RESTIF DE LA BRETONNE. LUCILE OR THE PROGRESS OF VIRTUE. Par - Lot 163

This book is an account of the escapades of Mlle Cadette Forterre, a charming girl from Auxerre... A rare counterfeit of the original edition (published in Paris the previous year). An unsigned woodcut has been added opposite the title. Partly uncut copy (Rives-Childs p.199) (Gay II, 916). Also included: LE PIED DE FANCHETTE ou l'orfeline française.
