Dignitary type sword
Gilded brass mounting, pommel topped by a helmet emblazoned on a bust with cuirass and epaulets, spindle with two mother-of-pearl plates, guard with wolf heads holding lyres in their gules, cruise decorated with palmettes, straight blade with two cutting edges and strong central ridge, leather scabbard with two chased brass fittings, twice featuring a spider's web (symbolizing attachment to the Head of State), cap knob with grotesque head holding a shield by the mouth.
