Senior Cavalry Officer's saber
Single-branch chased and gilded brass mounting, squared ebony hilt, straight quillon ending in a ram's head, auricle decorated with allegories of justice on both sides, flat-backed curved blade engraved with foliage and trophies of arms on one third, slight traces of gilding on the heel, two-ring chased brass scabbard decorated with bivouac and battle scenes in reserves on one side, lyre-shaped sting.
