VIRGILE - SCALIGER (J.J.). PUBLII VIRGILII MARONIS APPENDIX, cum supplemento multorum antehac nunquam excusorum poematum veterum poetarum. Josephi Scaligeri in eandem Appendicem commentarii & castigationes. Lugduni, G. Rouillium, 1573. In-8, 548-[10] pages, stiff vellum (contemporary binding). Ancient poetic pieces that Scaliger has collected and commented on, mainly attributing them to Virgil. These poems are mostly light, even comic, and include the Priapées in particular. A good copy, with some period soiling and marginalia (Baudrier IX, 346) (USTC 141029).
