[ROBILLARD d'AVRIGNY (R.P.H.). MEMOIRES CHRONOLOGIQUES et do - Lot 200
[ROBILLARD d'AVRIGNY (R.P.H.). MEMOIRES CHRONOLOGIQUES et dogmatiques, pour servir à l'Histoire Ecclésiastique depuis 1600 jusqu'en 1716. Avec des réflexions & des remarques critiques. S.l., s.n. 1720. 4 vol. in-12, granite calf, ornate ribbed spine, red edges (period binding). First edition. An estimable work for the accuracy of its dates and well-developed facts, in which certain critical remarks are sometimes pushed to the point of satire, which is undoubtedly why it was suppressed in Rome by a decree of September 2, 1727. Handwritten bookplate. Endpapers missing, a few pages browned, otherwise a good copy.
