(Animal magnetism). MESMER. MEMOIRE SUR LA DECOUVERTE DU MAG - Lot 149
(Animal magnetism). MESMER. MEMOIRE SUR LA DECOUVERTE DU MAGNETISME ANIMAL. Genève et se trouve à Paris, Didot le jeune, 1779. In-12, blue bradel boards, smooth spine decorated (Laurenchet). RARE ORIGINAL EDITION addressed to physicians "the only ones capable of properly judging the importance of the discovery". It is here that Mesmer gives for the first time the 27 propositions on his principles, theory and means of magnetization, known today as Mesmer's Aphorisms. A fine copy, very fresh inside (Caillet III, 7435).
