First edition of Richard Mead's second book on the influence of the sun and moon on the human body and the resulting diseases. Mead believed that atmospheric pressure was affected by the sun, moon and stars, producing changes similar to those of ocean tides. He also wrote that atmospheric variations in elasticity and pressure had a direct effect on epilepsy, hysteria, menstrual disorders, nephritis, ulcers and asthma. Spine restored, otherwise a fine copy.
