In-4°, red morocco, gilt lace framing the boards, gilt coat of arms with motto "Il est à Moy", ornate smooth spine, gilt edges (period binding). FIRST EDITION. The illustration includes an engraved title adorned with a medallion containing the portrait of Corneille by A. de Saint-Aubin and 3 beautiful figures by Cochin, engraved by Prévost, Ponce and Saint-Aubin. First printing, foxing, small hole in false title removing a stamp. Unidentified coat of arms. (Cohen, 340).
