Regional costume belt, black woollen cloth, green woollen trim, sewn together on the visible parts. Chain and hook fastening. Savoie, Arvan valley, first quarter of the 20th century. Dimensions: H: 14.5 cm - Length: 78 cm. Condition: fabric moth-eaten, holes on edge and stained reverse, seams restored, buttons on strap with buttonhole, sewn in. Unequal-length chains. These belts were worn on women's costumes, adjusted at chest level. Provenance: former eco-museum "la ferme de Champlong", in les Marches (73), family collection.
