Lantern, in black-painted sheet metal, with a suspension ring and housing for a staff. Windows closed by original translucent (?) material. Holds a candle. Late 19th century Height: 36 cm - Diameter: 13 cm Condition: bending, corrosion, wear. In the past, country parish priests carried the Holy Viaticum accompanied by an altar boy who carried this type of lamp at the end of a stick. It was used to light the way and ward off predators.
