MAJORELLE FRERES (1892 - 1956) Mahogany veneered games table with removable square top with canted corners covered in parchment, closing a central compartment set into a larger circular top. Hammered wrought-iron base with four curved legs decorated with foliage and small gilded square cabochons on an octagonal doucine base. Stamped with a shell in the rack. H. 78.5 cm - D. 79 cm AM Later parchment, slightly detached, scratches and small dings. History: a similar model was presented on the Majorelle Frères & Cie stand at the Exposition Internationale des Arts Décoratifs et Industriels Modernes in Paris in 1925.
