Japan, Meiji era (1868-1912) Four metal objects, including a bronze plate transformed into a brooch with embossed and inlaid copper and gold decoration of three deities (including Shoki and Kan'u) in front of a table of victuals, an oval copper alloy box decorated in relief with the poetess Ono-no-Komachi, a bronze dropper decorated with boats and pines, and a silver pocket opener (?) (Sterling 950 hallmark on reverse) in the shape of a young woman wearing an umbrella and holding irises (early 20th century). A red hardstone medallion with pig design (China, 20th) and a hardstone toad are included. LDM
