(1537). BIBLE. BIBLIA BREVES IN AEDEM ANNOTATIONES, EX DOCTI - Lot 177
(1537). BIBLE. BIBLIA BREVES IN AEDEM ANNOTATIONES, EX DOCTIIS. Interpretationibus et Hebareorum commentariis. Lyon, Guillaume Boullé, 1537. Large folio volume of [8]-316-76-42-23 (of 26) leaves, marbled basane, spine ribbed and decorated (18th century binding). Superb and rare Bible printed by Guillaume Boullé, a bookseller and printer from Lyon whose output was minimal, barely 17 livres according to Baudrier. The first few leaves are repaired, with light rings and galling in the margins of some, and tears on pages 38 and 120 with loss. The last 3 index leaves are missing, binding damaged (Baudrier IV, 27) (USTC, 147200).
