Lyon, Olivier Arnoullet, August 5, 1537. In-12 gothic, [19]-257 leaves, dark sheepskin, stamped boards (much faded), cords (period binding). Title framed and printed in red and black with handsome lettrines, the latter from the paternal collection of Olivier Arnoullet, established in Lyon around 1514, died in 1567. The Chancellery of France, under François 1er, formed a group of departments where letters entitled au nom du Roy were dispatched. This Lyon edition appears to be rare, unknown to Baudrier and not listed in the USTC. Modern spine and headbands, faded decoration on boards (Baudrier X, 37-38 cites an undated edition he has not seen, which he places in 1540...).
