(1510). SENEQUE. TRAGEDIE, cum duobus commentariis. Bernardinus Marmita, Seneca, Daniel Caietanus. Venice, Filippo I Pinzi, October 29, 1510. In-folio of 149 poorly numbered leaves, stiff vellum, smooth spine decorated (19th century binding). This Venetian edition of Seneca's ten tragedies, with commentaries by Bernard Marmita and Daniel Caietanus, is beautifully illustrated with a large woodcut on the title showing the 2 commentators and Seneca, and 9 woodcuts (85 x 60 cm) at the head of each tragedy except the sixth. The text, printed in 2 columns, shows spelling corrections on each page. Title reinforced with loss of a few words, light rings cut at the bottom of the last leaf to make a signature disappear, several annotations and rings to the last leaves (USTC, 855881, 15 ex.).
