Cambodia or Vietnam, late 19th/early 20th century A bronze globular box, on a round base, with an embossed medallion at the top of the lid, featuring stylized spirals, pearls and leaves, and a plant-inspired twisted and scrolled handle. H. 17 cm approx. LDM Missing parts Provenance: collection formed in Indochina by the great-grandparents and grandparents of the current owner, André Crochet (arrived in Annam in 1888) and his wife, as well as Juliette Renault (née Crochet) and Philippe Oreste Renault (1881-1934), Director of Offices in the Cochinchine government and Prefect of Saigon. Works preserved and passed down in the family since 1935.
