SCEAUX, Chapel period Round trompe-l'œil dish with contoured rim decorated with bouquets of flowers and four bunches of asparagus in relief. Pink fillets and blue combed edges. 18th century, circa 1750 L. 31.5 cm MFV Chips and cracks on the reverse, slight gold wear on the tips of some asparagus. Model of similar inspiration in the Musée de Cluny reproduced in the Répertoire de la faïence française, 1932, plate 2 B.
