Description of the Limagne d'Auvergne, in which Syméoni identifies the site of Gergovie, illustrated with 59 woodcuts by Pierre Vase and 2 other woodcuts: the author's tomb and a view of the château de Polignac (p. 192), which appear for the first time and "reveal the talent and incomparable craftsmanship of the Master with the Capeline" (Baudrier). THE LARGE REPLICATED MAP, DRAWN BY SYMEONI, IS THE FIRST OF AUVERGNE, and was used by Ortélius and Blaeu.
