First separate edition of the second book of the Protomathesis of 1532 by the same Oronce Finé; it deals with the application of geometry to traditional surveying problems and the method of constructing a geometric square or quadrant. The 102 woodcuts are copies, often reduced and simplified, of the diagrams used in the 1532 edition. Minor defects, copy with wide margins. Antique handwritten bookplate on title.
