ORIGINAL EDITION of this fine volume published as a title for the People of Lorraine, intended to show Stanislas's former enemies his rights to royalty. The second part contains details (in Moreau typeface) of the thirty-three benefits granted by Stanislas (pensions for the poor, foundation of hospitals, wheat stores, pensions, the Nancy public library, the Royal College of Medicine, etc.). The work is illustrated with 2 title vignettes, a cul-de-lampe, a fold-out map of Nancy, 3 fold-out plates depicting the gates of the Place Royale and its balconies, drawn and interpreted by Girardet, Lamour and Collin, and 11 in-text figures of views of squares, houses and buildings, all engraved on copper in the first edition. A good copy. Bookplate with AJM monogram and motto "veritas omnia vincit".
