Per Eberhard COGELL (1734-1812) Portrait of a Lady of Quality in a Blue and Pink Moiré Dress Pastel, signed and dated 17(8 ?)6 and localized "au Greillon" to the right H. 58 cm - L. 46 cm (as seen) HVS Per Eberhard Cogell, of Swedish origin, settled in Lyon in 1764 and became a professor at the city's Academy in 1776. Le Greillon probably refers to the property that later gave its name to the climb of the same name on Fourvière hill. For a time, this estate belonged to the sculptor Joseph Chinard (1756-1813).
