A fan with a partially gilded openwork frame decorated with figures, trophies, flowers, etc. The gouache leaf in the center of a medallion entitled "La folie des dames de Paris" depicts a woman seated at her toilette, the wigmaker perched on a ladder powdering her hairstyle, watched over by a gallant with a bouquet of flowers in his hand and a dog. Two side medallions with gallant scenes. Floral decoration on a turquoise background. Landscape on the back.

Mother-of-pearl fan, partially openwork and gilded, the leaf decorated with a scene of numerous characters, engraving enhanced with gouache, on a background of gold foliage and flowers on a turquoise background. On the reverse, three figures at a fountain.
