Embroidered reticule, late 18th century, fluted in cream silk with full floral embroidery in wool, cannetille lame, clinquant and paillon, (wool parts restored), 21 x 26 cm. Provenance: according to a handwritten note, this bag of royal provenance was given by the Comtesse de Cibeins to the ancestors of the current owner. Also included: a black and pink checkered pouch, kept in the same family, said to have been given as a gift by General Castellane (1788-1862), 46 x 46 cm.
