Basque vest front of a court dress, England (?), circa 1740, sky-blue gros de Tours embroidered with gold filé, cannetille, cordonnet and metallic sequins of shredded foliage ruffles punctuated with sheaves, (buttons missing, wear and a few small stains). A similar vest is in the collections of the V&A (T.29-1950).
