Collection of trend books, J. Claude Frères&Cie, 1950-1974, more than 10,000 samples in 213 books, each counting between 40 and 50. Silk and artificial silk ties, mainly with stripes in all colors and patterns, abstractions, flowers and fantasies. Richly fashioned with metal thread for evening dresses, cotton piqué, crepe, cloqué and fancy woollens for coats and chic suits, (good overall condition, few missing items). Also included: some forty C Frères weave booklets, color charts and 22 check woollen booklets from Textiles Paris Echo, 1956.Founded in 1834, Claude Frères offered its customers in the fashion and textile industries several fabric samplings per season by subscription, giving the fashion trends of the moment.
