Collection of fourteen silk samples from China, mainly 19th century, lampas fashioned in polychrome silk with stylized flowers, ideograms and dragons. Obviously detached from an album, these samples are preserved in an envelope on the letterhead of Chabrières, Morel & cie Lyon. On one of them, a business card from Francisque Balay reports a visit to Raymond Cox (1856-1920), in charge of collections at the Musée des tissus de Lyon, attesting to the authenticity of the silks.
